CPFAN Board Meeting Minutes

May 18, 2021

President, Georgia Garnsey called the CPFAN May 18 Zoom Board Meeting to order at 6:05 pm. Board members in attendance were: Sandy Robnett, Patty Paul, Kelly Crosby, John Brett, Keith Loftin, Joe Mauro, Georgia Garnsey and Fred Bender.

Since the Annual Board meeting minutes aren’t read and approved until the April, 2022 Annual Meeting, there were no minutes to approve. Georgia gave the Treasurer’s Report. There was a balance of $207.46 in CPFAN’s UMB checking account.

The Election of Officers was the next order of business. The following CPFAN Board Members were appointed by the 2021-22 CPFAN Board to serve as officers for 2021-22. They are: Georgia Garnsey, President; Sandrea Robnett, Vice President; Patty Paul, Secretary; Joe Mauro, Treasurer.

Georgia called on Keith Loftin to present his motion to increase the CPFAN Board size from the current 8 members to 9. Keith presented the motion. Georgia asked for a second. There was no second. The motion was dismissed.

Reports: Fred Bender reported that the Adopt-A-Flowerbed orientations took place on May 12 and 13. There were approximately 50 volunteers who attended to sign DPR waivers and hear from Superintendent Adam Smith and the City Park Horticulturists what volunteer responsibilities would be. The City Park Adopt-A-Flowerbed program is officially launched with eight teams of 5-7 volunteers and captains in charge of each team from different neighborhoods around City Park.

Georgia reported that CPFAN will have a table at the City Park Alliance Golf Tournament on June 28. Joe Mauro will crew the table. Kelly Crosby’s son, Gabe Crosby has rounded up six CPFAN volunteers from East High School to help with set up and break down for the tournament.

Georgia also announced that the CPFAN Retreat would take place on June 22.

With no Old Business to report, Georgia adjourned the meeting at 7:15 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Patty Paul

Secretary, CPFAN
